Abstract

The mutual fund is an investment fund. Its main characteristic is related to the types of titles that are acquired with these resources, which are short-term titles, in some cases, but mainly those acquired are long-term. In general, an investment fund tries to gather resources from individual or institutional investors, thus integrating a significant volume of them, which are invested in certain assets at the investors' expense and risk, extending all the advantages to individual investment associated with those of large investments and their professional management. The objective of these funds is to provide maximum profitability to their participants, as well as to minimize risks through diversification in various securities, for the benefit of their owners, who are also their investors.
