Abstract

Organic, ecological or biological agriculture is defined as a production system that uses natural inputs through special practices such as compost, green manures, biological control, natural plant-based repellents, association and crop rotation, etc., and excludes chemical synthesis inputs, transgenic, sewage and radiation in food. This form of production, in addition to considering the ecological aspect, also includes in its particular philosophy and practice the improvement of the living conditions of its practitioners, in such a way that it aspires to an integral sustainability of the production system (economic, social and ecological ).
