Andrés Saborío-Bejarano
Costa Rican multifaceted artist dedicated exclusively to musical, pictorial and literary creation. Share this activity with that of a pianist accompanied by singers and instrumentalists. Licentia Docendi and member of the Corporacicm de Maestros del Colegio de Artes Plásticas, is a member of the Academic Council on Music, Professor at UACA, professor of piano, composition and Musical Science at the Conservatorio de Castella and director of the Private Study of Artistic Education " H-61 ". In addition to being awarded National Awards and International Recognitions, his name is included as a current composer, in the Music section of the Oceanographic Encyclopedia: Costa Rica (2 volumes). There are also references from him in a Spanish dictionary on Costa Rican musician artists and in catalogs of Caribbean composers' forums.

Abstract

The word "JAZZ" originates from different theories and was first used in Chicago in 1916. It is said to come from a Creole word meaning "to rush", while others derive it from the French jaser (to chat). Others believe it is the abbreviation of Jasbo, patronymic of a black musician.
