Guillermo Malavassi-Vargas
Professor of History of thought for 48 years. Former Vice President and Secretary General of the University of Costa Rica. Founding Dean of the UNA Faculty of Philosophy and Letters. Former Minister of Costa Rica. Former Deputy for the National Movement. Co-founder of the Autonomous University of Central America (UACA), the first private University in Costa Rica and its Rector from 1976 to the present. Member of the National Council of Private Higher University Education of Costa Rica (CONESUP). Co-founder of UNIRE (Association Unit of Rectors of Private Universities of Costa RICA) and its first President.

Abstract

Don Luis Demetrio knew that problem well. He also knew how many prejudices and self-esteem were in the survivors of that bad hour. One day he is called to play the Ministry of Public Education and thus form part of a new Government, an exponent of the best assets of the nationality. Thus came the time to repair the damage, to do good, to restore the university institution.
