Abstract

Cardiac involvement conditions an adverse evolution and increases the morbidity and mortality of critically ill patients with this injury. At least 4 different mechanisms of myocardial injury are presented in patients with SARS-CoV-2. It is presented to patients at higher risk, such as those over 65 years of age or with cardiovascular risk factors, who have a greater possibility of cardiac involvement by multiple mechanisms.
