Viability to increase the display of articles published in the journal Acta Academics in Internet search engines such as Google Academic

Abstract

This article describes the efforts of increasing the visibility of papers published in the Journal Acta Academica edited by the Universidad Autónoma de Centro América (UACA). For an academic or researcher, the fact that his or her article does not appear in any search engine query on the Internet is the equivalent of not existing. On the contrary, if their work is visible, members of the University, especially teachers and students will have greater motivation to investigate and publish, knowing that their work can be shared and read anywhere in the world. This article is a broad review of choices or alternatives for academics and researchers in Ibero-America to share their work, especially in the field of social sciences. At the time of this writing, the Jornal is indexed in Latindex but it is not yet a digital magazine.
