The I narrative a journey from modern philosophy to cognitive sciences

Abstract
It is presented a study of different conceptions of the self highlighting those conceptions focused on the narrative self. We start describing some conceptions appeared in modern and contemporary philosophy that offer different phenomenological accounts of the self and finish the study reviewing some attempts of explaining the self that come from cognitive approaches.
