Automated quantitative analysis of the verbiage of psychoanalytic discourse

Abstract

In this article is performed an automatized quantitative content analysis using a word counter called WC - Word Counter in Two different samples of psychoanalytic and behaviour al anises (n = 13 and n= 8 respectively) published by the Revista Costarricense de Psicología. It was found significant statistical differ onces in the following variables: Number of words per text (t=-3.42, p.cO.000l), Number of unique words (t=-3.75, p<0.00006), Number of sentences per text (t=-2.93, p<0.0004) and Number of syllables per text. It is concluded that this data supports the hypothesis that the behavioural articles.
